Volunteers are at the very heart of our parishes. They are integral to every aspect of parish life. Volunteers assist with the liturgy, serve in various ministries, raise funds, help those in need, sing and play instruments, teach, clean, and more. We are so very thankful for the volunteers we have and always welcome new faces to join us.
This page serves as a resource to every volunteer, no matter what aspect of parish life they are involved in. If there is a piece of information that you would like to see located here, please contact the office.
The Diocese of Springfield has a comprehensive program to protect the vulnerable in our diocese. At the parish level, we take this program very seriously and insist our volunteers, staff, and clergy meet all the qualifications necessary to be in their positions. Below, you will find links to our CORI form, VIRTUS Online Portal, and the Diocesan Office of Safe Environment & Victim Assistance. Once you express interest in volunteering, we will help you determine what steps are necessary to get you up and running. For questions, please contact the parish office.
Occasionally, volunteers need to make purchases on behalf of the parish. Sometimes, in the case of fundraisers, volunteers need to request starting funds for a project. All purchases and starting funds MUST be approved in advance.
